OUR STORY,
STRAIGHT FROM THE SAUCE.
Nostalgia in a bun.
It began with a common rite of passage in most kids’ lives: begging Mum to stop in at McDonald’s.
For Joe Farah, the juicy, pickly punch of Clifton Hill’s saucy Big Mac left its mark on more than just his shirtfront: it would serve as the inspiration for launching his own burger venture, over two decades later.
Inspired by these burgers of his childhood, Joe launched the first 300 Grams on Northcote’s High Street in 2019, much to the delight of hungry Northsiders. Four years and four venues later, we serve up fresh ingredients on soft white buns to a widely established cult-following across Melbourne.
Known for its ultra-crisp edges and flawless flavour, our signature “smash style” patty continues to feature on Best Burger lists from Broadsheet, TimeOut, Urban List, the Herald Sun and beyond, year after year. Our secret sauce? Choosing only the freshest, best quality ingredients from local suppliers. It’s a commitment we’ve held true to since day one, and one we’ll never compromise on.
Every day, we recreate our fond childhood burger memories so that you can make your own. We are proud to feed your burger need, Melbourne – with an added side of nostalgia.
